Bands & Callers
Each band and caller creates a unique event for every ceilidh. If you think you have what it takes to create another amazing Red Fox Ceilidh, please get in touch. It doesn't matter how long you've been going, in fact we are well placed to offer new bands a showcase. We don't pay commercial rates, but we offer you a public platform where potential clients can come and see you. We will also promote you in a full festival style, with blurb and link to your website permanently on this website. Bands are offered a secured underwritten fee topped up with takings from the door, the more people you attract, the more you go home with.
Callers normally come with the bands, but sometimes a band likes a recommendation from us. Let us know what you've done and who you've worked with and we'll start a conversation.
Our bands like a break, our dancers like a rest, but nobody wants the atmosphere to die – are you able to fill that gap. Like many festival ceilidhs and ceilidh series across the country we are normally looking for some sort of folk dance to fill the gap, but any lively, spirited entertainment that will capture the imagination of our audience is what we need! So far we have Cotswold morris, rapper dancers, step clog, north west and garland dance, application step, molly dancers, border morris, samba bands; more of the same would be most welcome, something new would be fantastic; tell us what you have got!
Each ceilidh requires many hands on the deck. Whether it's promoting the event, setting up the room, running the door, serving drinks at the bar or helping to tidy away - every help is always greatly appreciated. Red Fox Ceilidhs is always happy to commend you volunteering in order to enhance you CV or qualification points.
